If you want to be an artist, first, you must learn about the colour wheel. 

Let's start with the wheel. 

Meet Joe

Joe wants to be an artist. 

A step-by-step look at how to create a color wheel and how it's useful.

How many pieces can you see in the color wheel?

Correct. There are six pieces in the wheel. 

Now, let's add some colours

We will start with three different colours

We have red, yellow and blue.

These are called PRIMARY COLOURS. 

So, now, let's paint three pieces on the wheel. AND

YOU WANT TO LEAVE A WHITE SPACE IN BETWEEN THE COLOURS.

That's right!

Now, SECONDARY COLOURS.

FIRST, We mix red and yellow to make orange. 

Orange will go in between red and yellow on the color wheel. 

Next, mix yellow and blue to make green. 

Green will go in between yellow and blue.

Finally, mix blue and red to make purple

Purple will go between blue and red

Congratulations!!!

You just made  a color wheel.

When I am cutting, I use a paintbrush

I can colour with 

crayons or coloured pencils.

on paper 

with glue. 

I can draw with scissors.

When I am painting

I can use a paintbrush.

 I can fold and tear paper 

with my hands.
